About Us
Excel College Kano, Nigeria, is a co-educational day school and also offers full boarding facilities for girls only. The college provides modern and Islamic education for students coupled with extra curricular activities such as sports, drama, membership with several educative, fun clubs and societies, and more.

Background History
Excel College Kano was established in 1996 as a secondary school to serve as an Islamic model post primary institution. The school is an actualization of the dream of its founder who had been in the academic circle for about thirty years.
The Director Asmau U. Yahaya has been a classroom teacher, a lecturer and an educational administrator. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology, a Masters Degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education.
The college commenced activities as a co-educational day school and later began full boarding facilities for girls only in 2000. It still has a day stream for both boys and girls.
The college yearly WAEC, NECO and JAMB results are a testimony of our commitment to academic excellence. A high percentage of our students gain admission into higher institutions around Nigeria and abroad. A number of our graduates have already made their way into the nation’s workforce.
Excel College is situated at Plot 426A Yautai Link, Off Maiduguri Road, Hotoro GRA, Kano which is in a quiet, serene and easily accessible area.
Excel College is a member of the prestigious Association of Model Islamic Schools (AMIS) where it has always played a positive role as a standard bearer of quality service.
We also have a nursery and primary section which was established in 2008 featuring a very child-friendly environment for optimum development of children. The section is located at 13 Gidado Idris Street, Hotoro GRA, Kano.
